Write about anything, but especially these
A finding you disagree with. This is the most useful message we get. Merchlint reports the field it read and the value it found, so a disagreement is checkable — send the finding and what your store actually shows, and we will either explain it or fix the rule. Rules have been changed on the strength of exactly this kind of email.
A check you wish existed. New checks ship quarterly. What gets built is decided largely by what people ask for, and a description of the problem is more useful than a proposed solution.
Running an agency. If you look after more than a handful of WooCommerce stores, we want to hear how you audit them today — see for agencies. No pitch; the plugin is free and there is nothing to sell you yet.
Anything that broke. Include what you were doing, what happened, and the WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP versions.
Where plugin support lives
For problems with the plugin itself, the support forum on WordPress.org is the better place. Answers there are public, so the next person with the same problem finds them — which is worth more than a private reply. Email works too; the forum just helps more people.
Who you are writing to
Merchlint is built and supported by Baltano, a one-person operation. That has an obvious downside and one advantage worth stating: the person who answers your email is the person who wrote the code, so nothing gets relayed and nothing gets lost in a handover.
Replies usually arrive the same day, and always within one working day.
